Last week, a group from the University of Palacký Olomouc (UPO) - Michal Otyepka, Petr Jakubec and Vojtech Kupka - visited the Sensors and Biosensors Group at the University of Tirana.
The visit focused on several key aspects of the SUSNANO project. Central to the discussions were sensor printing technologies, including inkjet printing, screen printing, and CO₂ laser printing. These technologies have already been installed in the University of Tirana’s laboratory as part of the SUSNANO project, with support from scientific partners ICN2 and UPO.
Discussions also explored the application of these sensors in real samples for pesticide monitoring, a topic currently being pursued through a doctoral thesis jointly supervised by UPO and the University of Tirana.
The UPO group also toured the Computational Physics Laboratory and the newly established Data Centre, equipped with a high-performance computing cluster. This facility was recently developed in the Department of Physics with financial support from the University of Tirana.
The visit concluded with several social activities, fostering further collaboration and exchange between the institutions.
